My BooBoo is a big boy now :)

I finally picked a nursery!! As a matter of fact, he’s right there now, on his very first day… I am trying every possible distraction until it’s 4:00 pm so I can go pick him up.

He was so adorable and cute when the lady tried to lure him out of the reception area (aka parents’ area) and he kept giving her blank yet arrogant looks as to say “do I even know u?”!!

I was so proud of him when he stayed all the time I waited out side without crying. I was even prouder when I called and was informed that he hasn’t cried at all and that he was a good boy and did not cause trouble.

Well, truth be told, my ego was a bit bruised to know that he can do without me and that he didn’t even miss me enough to cry!! So why did my mom always call whenever I was late saying “yalla ta3aly, beano monhar”… teegy teshoof el enheyar. I blame her for that ego-bruise, edetny akbar men hagmy.

Oh my God, I wanna call again, but I don’t wanna sound like the magnouna kinda mom I used to call my colleague at work. It’s 90 minutes until 4, what else can I do to distract myself?

My friend H tells me she’s happy for me, for I am finally moving on with my life and doing the things I have been putting on hold because of my marital problems. I told her that I was having the same thought as I was driving back from the nursery today. However, I kinda felt bad when I thought how the husband is too ignorant and indifferent to even know what’s going on with his own bundle of cuteness who keeps saying “baba” every time he sees something that relates to him. GooGoo says the husband is a sad sad person and Rabina yehdeeh… at this moment, I can’t help but hope he’d be out of our lives for good if he can’t be of any good being part of it.

Yooh, lessa fadel sa3a we nos!!! I miss my BooBoo.

of course he would "yenhar" if he's left alone with his granny and tiny little "far" of a brother, he'd be bored and he'd be reminded that he misses you. That shouldnt be the case at the nursery cause there are millions of distractions! dont worry he still needs you... to buy him stuff and all :P

and booboo doesnt sound so good!!

It is 4 already.. if I had read this earlier I would've had plenty of suggestions. Here are a few anyhow, in case you need them for future time killing.

-Check the internet for a recipe of something you like that you've never made before (some pastry or something) and try it.

-Time killing errands of supermarket, car wash, getting hair done, jeans shortened, visiting aunt types!

-A recommended movie by someone whose taste you trust, but not something you've seen before so it'd be harder to turn off and get bored again.

-Putting photographs in albums.

All the little unacknowledged stuff that needs to be done!

@ deeeeeee, well, i checked some online malls for future shopping... and my friend H called me to ask me about things that took me a while to explain, and it was 4....

used to check recipes and cook them!! my cooking days are over khalas :) thanks for all the tips, i am sure they will come in handy :))

@ oceaneyes, thanks... and yeah i know his new world will be all he talks about as soon as he starts talking!

@ Ola, yep, and i think he had some good time but by the end he was sleepy and tired and i think hungry which is weird cause supposedly he ate!!

no, i didn't get him a goon or an 2ann cause he's not supposed to take toys with him, but there was an 2ann there that he sat in and wouldn't budge!! it was his safe place i suppose....

yeah, he doesn't yell at ppl when they try to carry him the way he should, or at least the way he does when any one of us carries him when he's not in the mood!! i think he's too proud to show signs of fear we keda... 3amel gamed we beta3 :) bas eh ra2yek fe nazret el e7teqar :)))

i'll tell him u said hi :)

I don't get him stuff all the time, so I know for a fact that he loves me for who I am and nothing else :P and hellloooo.... i'm at work or sleepig or out when all that happens!! he rarely ever cries if you're out and I'm in, unless he misses you for real... and when around us.. he doesnt need to act all proud and "strong" so yeah he could cry if he misses you with no shame!

hehe you're funny. Did he run up to you all excitedly when the long hour and a half was finally over? Give yourself one week and 4 o clock will be arriving too soon for you and you'll want more time :)

no NG, he didn't run to me or anything, he's so tenek that way, plus he was carried since he wouldn't leave the play area to start with!!!

when he saw me, he made approving noise, and as the assistant was explaining to me that i will find all his activities marked in the daily report, he kept yelling at me to hurry up and leave and pointing out that i need to take the backpack from her!!! he's so bossy and so te2eel i swear!!

i was wishing i could send him back because he was too hyper after we arrived home, although his report said he was quiet and did not sleep... beyattahedny ana bas i suppose!!

so what did ur booboo do on her first day??

lol I'm cracking up at your booboo's reaction with his approving noise and tanaka. Sounds like such a boyyyy.

Mine broke my heart on her first day. She is a huge mama's girl and is a tad TOO attached to me and I'm the same with her so I think we did the running towards each other with our arms open wide crying and screaming each other's names.. mommmyyyy... booboo. I think it might have even happened in slow motion like in the movies. Then she did the strangest thing. She put her hands on my cheeks and held my face in front of hers and her nose to mine and just stared at me with a huge grin on her face for a good 30 seconds. It was like she couldn't believe her eyes. It killed me. I picked her up a couple of hours early too because I couldn't take the wait.

Awwwww, your booboo is amazingly cute mA!! u see, this is why baby girls r cuter... i would have simply cried if my son did that... i kinda almost did later at home every time he ran towards me to hug me for now reason!! he'd run all the way screaming "mammaaa" and jump on my lap, pull my hair and when i say "AAww" he'd pat me and kiss me on the cheek and then give me a huge hug... tenek or not, he can show affection when he feels like it :D
